SPARQシグナル・インテグリティ・ネットワーク・アナライザは、DUT(被測定デバイス)に接続して、USBケーブルで接続されたPC上のソフトウェアで操作することにより、マルチポートSパラメータ測定がすばやく行えます。
SPARQはシグナル・インテグリティ・アプリケーションで共通の課題であるマルチポート・デバイスの特性解析を従来の方式に比べて安価に行える理想的な機器で、以下のような場合に最適です。
- 測定に基づくシミュレーション・モデルの開発
- 設計検証
- コンプライアンス・テスト
- 高性能のTDR測定
- PCBテスト
- 手軽に持ち運び、その場で測定
Sパラメータ測定は、ベクトル・ネットワーク・アナライザ(VNA) によって行われるものが一般的ですが、それには高額の予算が必要になり、操作も複雑です。 SPARQは手ごろな価格でしかも操作が簡単なので、容易にSパラメータ測定を導入することができます。
Sパラメータを利用できる従来の機器は、大型で基本的には設置場所が固定されています。
SPARQはこれとは対照的に、小型でわずか8kg未満と軽量です。SPARQはUSB2.0インタフェースで、
標準的なPCに接続できるため、PCの計算能力を上げれば、それだけSPARQの処理能力も上がります。
VNA測定は操作が複雑で面倒な校正という作業から開始します。
これには、何度も接続の変更を行う必要があり、オペレータのミスによって誤った結果が出る可能性があります。
SPARQは、DUTと直接接続したままで校正された測定結果が得られ、測定条件も簡単に選択できます。
測定の開始から完了まで、ボタンを1回押すだけで行うことができます。
SPARQは校正標準器を内蔵することにより、校正作業に対する画期的なアプローチを行っています。 これによって、何度も接続を変更せずに測定が行えるようになり、追加の電子校正(ECAL) モジュールも必要なくなりました。人手を介さずに校正をすばやく行えるため、 古くなった保存済みの校正には頼らず、頻繁に校正を行うことができます。
ユーザが期待するシグナル・インテグリティ・ネットワーク・アナライザには、 タイム・ドメインと周波数ドメインの双方において、測定と解析が可能な、 また適切に統合されたツールが必要とされます。シグナル・インテグリティにおいては、 Sパラメータを計測するだけでは不十分です。 シミュレーションにおけるSパラメータ・モデルの精度を示すタイム・ドメイン表示によって詳細な検証ができます。
SPARQは、細かな設定なしでもシグナル・インテグリティ測定を行うために必要な、 標準的なハードウェアおよびソフトウェア・ツールが含まれています。
これらのツールでは、他のほとんどの機器では別に費用がかかってしまうような機能も利用することができます。 ミックスド・モードSパラメータ変換、ポート番号の再割り当て、受動性、相互性および因果性の補正機能はすべて標準で備わっています。 インピーダンス、ρ(反射係数)、ステップ応答およびインパルス応答など、内蔵のタイム・ドメイン表示も含まれています。すべてのタイム・ドメインの結果は、システムの立ち上がり時間で正規化できます。
SPARQのハードウェアには、各ポート用の校正済ケーブル、コネクタのタイプに合わせて使用する各ポート用2.92mmの校正済メス型コネクタ、 よく使われるコネクタのサイズに適合する自在レンチ、および精密トルク・レンチが含まれています。
SPARQの操作に必要なのは、主要な設定画面に表示される簡単な設定だけです。周波数とポート数を指定すれば直ぐに測定が開始できます。時間の長さなどのヘルプ情報で、周波数分解能の選択やパルス発生器の繰り返しレートを制御する「DUT 長」モードの選択をアシストし、よりすばやい測定を実現しま す。さまざまな測定シーケンス制御モードで精度と速度のバランスを適切に取ることができ、測定時間を予測するヘルプ情報 も提供されます。すべての測定は、ユーザによる手作業なしで自動的に進行します。追加機能の詳細画面にも簡単にアクセスできます。
SPARQは、現在TDRまたはVNA機器で実施されるすべての テストをより簡単に実行できます。SPARQで可能なテストに は以下が含まれます。

レクロイのSPARQ-SIStudioはハイエンド・デジタル・オシロスコープで培った高度なシリアルデータ/ジッタ解析機能と、チャンネル/イコライザ・エミュレーション機能を元にして作成されたシミュレーション・パッケージで、SPARQシグナル・インテグリティ・ネットワークアナライザのSパラメータ計測機能とシームレスに統合して利用できます。
柔軟なトランスミッタ信号シミュレーションが内蔵されているため、 各種の規格に応じた信号に各種のジッタやノイズを加え、SPARQで計測したケーブルやプリント基板のトレースなどの 伝送線特性を通した場合の信号劣化の様子をその場でシミュレーションして確認することができます。さらに、豊富なトポロジーのイコライザを使ってシリアル・データ・リンクの総合的なシミュレーションがサポートされます。
またシリアルデータ解析やジッタ解析機能を用いてシミュレーション結果の高度なシリアル・データ解析が行なえます。SPARQで計測したSパラメータは、即座にシミュレーションに反映されるので、被測定物の特性評価や受信機の設計の検証などが素早く行なえます。
SIStudioは、付属のUSBライセンスキーを用いることで任意のパソコン上で単独で動作させることができます。
