Powerful One-Box Wireless Test
Solution with Wi-Fi 7
For wireless product developers that provides simultaneous capture and analysis of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 802.15.4 technologies.
Building upon the success of its predecessor, the Frontline X500, the X500e is a comprehensive one-box solution that seamlessly captures and correlates data from a wide range of wireless communication technologies including Wi-Fi 7. It gives instant visibility into over-the-air traffic, enabling rapid identification and resolution of performance and coexistence issues due to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 802.15.4 all coexisting in the 2.4 GHz ISM band.
The Frontline X500e Wireless Protocol Analyzer is the most versatile wireless analysis tool in the industry, boasting support not just for all released and upcoming Bluetooth BR/EDR and Low Energy specifications, but for 802.15.4-based protocols like Matter and Thread, and all of the latest Wi-Fi technologies including Wi-Fi 7, which extends Wi-Fi technology into the 6GHz ISM band.
Use Frontline X500e as a standalone Wi-Fi analyzer to capture 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be data on two Wi-Fi channels across any two bands simultaneously, including the Wi-Fi 7 MLO feature. As a hardware-based, non-intrusive analyzer, it is ideal for high-speed, real-time data capture and analysis. It also supports capturing HCI/WCI-2 UART protocol and logic signals along with over-the-air Wi-Fi packets, making it perfect for debugging timing-related issues using the Timing Analysis and Coexistence view features in the software. The on-board hardware buffer ensures superior performance, minimizing packet drops and slow processing typically seen with other network-based analyzers like Wireshark. It also supports exporting capture files to a Wireshark-compatible format for a seamless Wireshark-like experience.
Debugging Matter technology using a Frontline X500e protocol analyzer that supports commissioning over LE, Wi-Fi, and Thread involves capturing and analyzing the communication between devices during the commissioning process. This comprehensive approach allows developers to identify and resolve issues related to device pairing, network formation, and data exchange across different protocols. By leveraging the analyzer's multi-technology protocol capabilities, real-time packet capture and detailed protocol decoding, developers can ensure seamless interoperability and optimal performance of Matter-enabled devices in diverse network environments. This holistic debugging process is crucial for delivering reliable and secure smart home solutions.
With RF spectrum analysis, mesh analysis, support for 24 channel logic analysis and Bluetooth antenna-diversity capability, the X500e is truly the right tool for EVERY wireless analysis job. The Frontline X500e comes equipped with Excursion Mode, which allows the user to capture everything in the air at the push of a button, without any PC attached and with zero protocol expertise. The system also supports time-correlated operation and capture with other Teledyne LeCroy Protocol Analyzer industry leading tools, using the proprietary CATC Sync connectivity and CrossSync Software.
The Frontline X500e Spectrum Analysis feature provides an RF heat map of the entire 2.4GHz ISM Band in Wireless Protocol Suite software. This enables the user to view time-synced captured wireless packets overlaid on top of the captured RF energy within the test environment. Signal strength (RSSI) is displayed when the user hovers over captured RF energy. With this data you can see how multiple technologies coexist in the Coexistence view.
The Spectrum Analysis feature and Coexistence view enables the user to identify RF interference and understand how their wireless devices operate effectively in the crowded 2.4GHz ISM band.
The integrated Bluetooth Audio Expert System is the first and only analysis tool on the market to combine audio analysis with Bluetooth protocol analysis. This unique capability allows developers to quickly pinpoint the root cause of a wide array of Bluetooth protocol-related audio problems in various applications, including the latest Bluetooth LE Audio and Bluetooth Auracast for broadcast audio.
Audio waveform plotting and playback are available directly within the software, providing an intuitive and efficient way to analyze audio data. Unique Audio Rating Metric feature enables developers to debug audio quality issues using reference audio files.
New: Audio Latency Measurement Accurately measure end-to-end audio latency across Bluetooth links, helping developers optimize performance for time-sensitive applications such as gaming, video streaming, and assistive listening devices.
The Audio Expert feature truly transforms a novice into an expert and makes an expert even more efficient in testing Bluetooth devices, such as hearing aids, car infotainment systems, speakers, and headsets.
