Powerful One-Box
Wireless Test Solution
For wireless product developers that provides simultaneous capture and analysis of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 802.15.4 technologies. Recommended replacement X500e
The Frontline X500 Wireless Protocol Analyzer is a powerful one-box test solution for wireless product developers that captures information streaming between devices enabled with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 802.15.4 technologies.
The Frontline X500, coupled with Teledyne LeCroy’s Wireless Protocol Suite software, delivers unparalleled performance for complex multi-technology test environments, including market-leading support for the latest Wi-Fi technologies.
The Frontline X500 Wireless Protocol Analyzer is the most versatile wireless analysis tool in the industry, boasting support not just for all released Bluetooth BR/EDR and Low Energy profiles and protocols, but for 802.15.4-based protocols like Matter, Thread and Zigbee, and all of the latest Wi-Fi technologies including Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, which extends Wi-Fi technology into the 6GHz ISM band. Add to that RF spectrum analysis, mesh analysis, and support for 24 channel logic analysis and antenna diversity capability, the X500 is truly the right tool for EVERY wireless analysis job.
The Frontline X500 comes equipped with Excursion Mode, which allows the user to capture everything in the air at the push of a button, without any PC attached. The system also supports time-correlated operation and capture with other Teledyne LeCroy Protocol Analyzer industry leading tools, using the proprietary CATC Sync connectivity and CrossSync Software.
The integrated Bluetooth Audio Expert System is the first and only analysis tool on the market to combine audio analysis with Bluetooth protocol analysis, allowing developers to quickly pinpoint the root cause of a wide array of Bluetooth protocol-related audio problems.
Teledyne LeCroy’s Wireless Protocol Suite combines Frontline’s decades of protocol analysis experience and up-to-the moment spec support with a streamlined interface, bringing all analysis tools into a single dockable framework that can be customized to your own preferred way of working and evaluating information. When paired with Teledyne LeCroy’s uniquely portable and configurable family of wireless protocol analyzers, the Wireless Protocol Suite delivers a world class software experience to anyone working with technologies that utilize the 2.4GHz ISM band.
Learn more about the Wireless Protocol Suite software and how it can help you work more efficiently as you design, develop, and troubleshoot your devices.
The Frontline X500 Spectrum Analysis feature provides an RF heat map of the entire 2.4GHz ISM Band in Wireless Protocol Suite software. This enables the user to view time-synced captured wireless packets overlaid on top of the captured RF energy within the test environment. Signal strength (RSSI) is displayed when the user hovers over captured RF energy. With this data you can see how multiple technologies coexist in the Coexistence view.
The Spectrum Analysis feature and Coexistence view enables the user to identify RF interference and understand how their wireless devices operate effectively in the crowded 2.4GHz ISM band.

Bluetooth audio systems introduce latency through various stages—ADC, DSP, buffering, and wireless transmission. These delays can affect lip-sync, spatial audio, and real-time communication.
Teledyne LeCroy’s Audio Analyzer Pod, when used in conjunction with the Logic Analyzer Pod and the Frontline X240 or X500 and X500e platforms, delivers comprehensive audio latency analysis through the Wireless Protocol Analyzer software, which helps engineers:
Timing is crucial because the protocol relies on precisely scheduled events to maintain efficient and reliable wireless communication.
The Logic Analyzer Pod is a powerful accessory for debugging Bluetooth, Wi-Fi timing issues, especially in embedded systems or hardware-software integration scenarios by capturing logic signal and wired protocol, such as HCI UART, SPI and Audio I2S.
