LabMasterモジュール型リアルタイム・オシロスコープのアーキテクチャは、オシロスコープのアクイジション(信号捕捉)機能をディスプレイ、制御、および処理機能と分離しています。 LabMasterコントロール・モジュールには、ディスプレイ、制御、ChannelSyncアーキテクチャ、強力なサーバークラスのCPUが含まれています。

LabMaster 10Ziアクイジション・モジュールは、シリコンベースの36 GHzのチップを使い、2つの入力チャネルで最高65 GHzまで帯域の性能を提供します。1つのLabMaster 10Ziコントロール・モジュールと1つのLabMaster 10Ziアクイジション・モジュールの組み合わせにより、4チャネル36 GHz帯域のオシロスコープとして、または2チャネル65 GHz帯域/4チャネル36 GHz帯域のオシロスコープとして使用することができます。

また、ChannelSyncアーキテクチャを使用して最大20台のアクイジション・モジュールを完全に同期させることができます。これにより、36 GHz帯域80チャネル、或いは65 GHz帯域40チャネルまでのシステムが実現可能です。LabMaster用に新しく発表された拡張モジュールは、以前にのものと比べチャネル密度(帯域×チャネル数)を4倍に高めることができます。

LabMasterのChannelSyncアーキテクチャの利点は他にもあります。すべてのアクイジション・モジュールが共通して利用する単一のサンプリング・クロックとトリガ回路により、最大80チャネル入力時にも、最高の信号捕捉精度を提供します。アクイジション・モジュールは「プラグアンドプレイ」に対応した設計のため、特別なプログラミング、外部サンプリング、クロック同期、オシロスコープ間の複雑な接続などは必要ありません。

コントロール・モジュールにはディスプレイとサーバークラス(12コア型)中央処理装置(CPU)があります。すべてのアクイジション・モジュールから取得した波形は、従来のオシロスコープのように、ひとつのディスプレイに表示されます。複数のアクイジション・モジュールを持つシステム全体の接続とセットアップは、精密なデスキュー校正を含めても5〜10分程度で完了します。
