Digital Oscilloscopes – WaveAce

Problem:

How do I perform a Hard Reset on a WaveAce?

Solution:

Perform Initialization.

This reset procedure clears all previously saved waveforms (reference waveforms) and all previously saved internal panel setups. It will restore the default scope settings.

Step 1: With power off, begin pushing the MATH button frequently and repeatedly. While pushing  the MATH button, power up the instrument. It may take a few tries until you can enter the scope menu.
Step 2: Push “Save/Recall” button. Select “Factory” in “Type” menu. Select “Load” to recover the factory default setting.
Step 3: Disconnect any probes from the scope.
Step 4: Push “Utility” Button and enter Page 2/4
Step 5: Select “Do Self Cal” to run the self-calibration routine.
Step 6: Push “Single” Button to start.
Step 7: If the screen appears blue after self calibration, push“ Display” Button.
