QPHY-10Base-T1-TDR   QPHY-10Base-T1-TDR automates MDI S-parameter compliance testing and validation of 10 Mb/s Ethernet, which is described in the 10Base-T1S and 10Base-T1L (IEEE 802.3cg) specifications. Return Loss (Sdd11) and Mode Conversion Loss (Sdc11) are measured using the WavePulser 40iX Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR).

Teledyne LeCroy has worked with industry leaders to create the first physical layer test package for the BroadR-Reach Ethernet PHY. BroadR-Reach is a 100 Mbps transceiver engineered to meet the stringent requirements of the automotive industry, dramatically reducing connectivity cost and cabling weight.

Automated and Easy-to-Use Solution

QPHY-BroadR-Reach is an automated compliance test package that performs electrical compliance testing for BroadR-Reach Ethernet PHY. It provides connection diagrams to ensure the proper setup for the required measurements, automates the oscilloscope for performing these measurements, and provides a comprehensive report of results including screenshots. These capabilities makes QPHY-BroadR-Reach an all-inclusive test suite that meets the needs of BroadR-Reach transceiver compliance testing.

Complete Electrical Compliance Test

The complete Teledyne LeCroy BroadR-Reach compliance test package will perform all electrical compliance tests as defined in section 1.4 of the BroadR-Reach Physical Layer Transceiver Electrical Requirement for Automotive Applications. The following tests are included in the QualiPHY solution: Transmitter Output Droop, Transmitter Distortion, Transmitter Timing Jitter, Transmit Clock Frequency, and Transmitter Power Spectral Density. Teledyne LeCroy provides a complete test package including the necessary test fixture, probe, and cables required for proper configuration. In addition, the test software includes the MATLAB scripts required for the Transmitter Distortion test.

The Teledyne LeCroy WaveRunner 6 Zi series of oscilloscopes are the perfect instruments for performing BroadR-Reach compliance measurements and more importantly for debugging compliance failures allowing the engineers to quickly find the root cause of serial data problems.
