1. Plug in Ethernet network cable.
2. Ensure that the oscilloscope’s IP settings are correct.
Press Utility > Page 3 / 4 > IP Setting

3. Ensure that the first two sets of numbers of your oscilloscope’s IP address (for example, 169.28.xxx.xxx) are the same as on your controlling PC. Likewise, ensure that the Subnet Mask is the same as on your PC.
Adjust each field by turning the Intensity Adjust knob. Change fields in each setting by pressing the Intensity Adjust knob. Change the active settings by pressing the first display control button, which is the button adjacent to the screen for making on-screen selections.

4. Verify the connection with WaveStudio software . If WaveStudio is not already installed on your PC, follow the link below to the download page. Select the 32- or 64-bit version depending on your PC’s operating system. A link to the software manual is also found on the download page.

5. If you are still unable to establish a connection, ensure that your controlling PC sees the oscilloscope by pinging the instrument. Ping the scope by opening a command prompt and typing “ping 169.28.13.114” (enter the scope’s unique IP address).
6. If you are unable to ping the oscilloscope and cannot connect with WaveStudio, your facility’s network may be blocking your connection. Contact your network administrator.
